Rio Seco Wine

 

2006 Rio Seco Syrah
Region: Paso Robles

Medium purple color, bright, clean and youthful. Reminds us a Beaujolais. On the nose, a rush of cherry and a hint of blackberry. The palate is the real pay-off. Black cherry and a hint of smoke and pepper. Stylistically, this Syrah has an elegant characteristic but on the finish, the pepper and spice tricks the palate into thinking you are drinking a Zin or Shiraz. Pair this with a rich pasta dish that features a red sauce such as Eggplant Parmigiana or with a great Wood Fired Pizza on Friday night. Alc. 15.9%.
